Hot oil treatment
I’m one of those girls with 5 strands of wispy hair in her
head so I never bothered myself with really taking care of my hair because I always
thought that I didn’t have much to handle in that area.
However I made it a resolution this year to take better care
of my hair and find out what works for me, and I did just that! I have been a
fan of short treated hair for a couple of months so I’m always frequenting the
barber and getting a cut and my barber always teases me by saying Mwari haakupe zvese (God will never give you everything).
I just recently bought what I now call the little bottle of ‘goodness’
which is hot oil hair repair. This bottle has a wide range of natural oils and
is so small and handy to use. All you need to do is dampen you hair and apply
about 5mls into your hair and steam it or wear a shower cap and place a hot
towel over your head. After that you rinse it out and shampoo and condition
your hair and you are done.
I always had this sandy color on my hair but after using the
oil twice my hair is visibly darker and im loving it! Also to avoid tonging my
hair and constantly exposing it to heat I am now using a mousse and a silk wrap
to straighten my hair and boy do I love the results! I will keep you posted on
the results of this new hair journey…. J
